With Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kenedy and many others how can the demecrats still be a viable party?

The United States is no longer a 'Democratic Society, but a 'Socialist Society'.... where the majority of people (liberals like those you mention) feel that society should run every aspect of your life... what you eat, how much money you make, the size car you can drive... your religion...(they of course are above their own rules made for everyone else). Sadly people are much lazier today than years ago, they want the government to take care of them, they feel they have a right to be given money and food and healthcare without working or contributing to society .... The liberal socialists are reaping the rewards of their years of sowing...
Socialism has not worked in Europe, but for some reason, most educatiors and politicians in the U.S. feel they can do it better here than the other countries that have tried and are now finding their own countries falling apart.
In the words of Nikita Khrushchev... "We will bury you"!!!!! (did / does anyone care that former President Clinton protested the United States Government in the U.S.S.R? No.. because there are now more people in the U.S. like them , than are for true Democracy.

Besides, I normally vote democrat but have no say yet because no one's campaigned within my view ranges so I don't know what everyone stands for. Unlike you and many others who know almost nothing about a candidate except the talking heads tell you that Hillary Clinton is a socialist.

Besides, if you're going to talk about viable parties then look at the modern republican party and how the base is actually consistant of the extreme religious "right" which is technically on the left because they support larger government (more control over what you can say, what religion you have to be, who you can marry). Luckily there are still moderate Republicans who are actually, probably, the best bet for this country right now along with the moderate liberals.

Pelosi and Kennedy were both in office when a democrat was elected to the presidency. Twice in the case of Pelosi and 4 times in the case of Kennedy.
All three were in congress when the Dem's took back the house and the senate last November.

You have to understand what the democrats and republicans stand for before you ask such a question. The republicans under the Bush administration have done great damage to this country on many levels under the guise of secrecy and protecting the American people. What do you mean by viable? Perhaps you could be more specific.
