I have been single for a year in my mid 30s (I just got a new gf who is 22)
It was brilliant being single, I never looked for a gf, just had a lot of fun.
If you have confidence, experience, some intelligence, and you're fairly in-shape, you'll be beating them away with a stick mate, regardless of whether you're 20 or 30 or even 40.

Don't worry about appearance. Women tend to find older men attractive. Besides I have a babyface like my uncle hes 45 and can still pick up 18 year olds. What that says about him might not be that nice but at least it proves a point.
Anyway, I don't really worry or feel anxious. Socially, it would be nice to have a beautiful girl tagging along with me, and good friends are always nice to have, but since I'm focused on career right now it saves me the trouble of working things out with a significant other that I'm single.
I know the type of girl I want, and I'll get her. I really just want her later, not right now.
Miss some of the perks though, no doubt.
Anyway, (man that's a lot of questions) I'm 29. I guess my type is smart, caring, loves to laugh, is wise, sassy, sexy.
I tend to like pale brunettes or redheads, but that doesn't matter so much. Love a girl with nerdy looking glasses. A bit of pleasant plumpness is okay especially in the backside. Like any guy I want the girl that can play the matron or the whore.
I wonder why you're asking this. Are you in this situation and worrying about it? If so, don't worry about your relationship status buddy. Just don't be nervous around women, be yourself, and it'll work itself out when it's supposed to, I guess.

I am 35 and never been married, I figure I will wait until I have the right one, I would rather have a happy marriage than make due with someone.

Lately I have been attracting girls in their mid twenties so I guess I still have it. I am not at all worried about being alone, if I can't be happy alone I can't expect anyone else to make me happy. Besides I have heard rumours that there is a secret ingredient in wedding cake that destroys a womans libido.

As for children, I never wanted them so I don't feel I am missing out on a thing there either.

I am 35 single and extremely happy.

OH YEAH whenever my parents or family starts giving me crap about it I just tell them I got a great deal on a 50 pound box of condoms and I want to get my money's worth. That shuts them up

I don't worry about it. I have always kept in mind that my Dad married when he was 35 and my Mum was 25. Either I will meet someone just so perfect, or I am happy to achieve a few more things in other areas of my life and present myself with a little more to offer. I am 29.

I got married when I was 31. Single guys shouldn't be worried or bothered by all the intangibles. They just have to find the right partner if they choose.

Don't get married for the sake of having a spouse. It's a foolish thing to do. Be happy without a woman in your life. When the right one comes along you'll know.

I'm female, but wanted to answer this. i think it all depends on what you want in life. men don't have to marry. There is really way too much responsibility when a man marries, especially if the woman does not work and have lots of kids.
