You could say the distributor shaft.. but other than the obvious, I'd say the points themselves as they have to open and close 3200 times a minute roughly at idle (that's 800 rpm /2 as it's turning at half the crank speed,x 8 times a revolution ... 400x8 = 3200 if the math is correct)

The fastest moving part in a V-8 is the piston. Even though the points open and close 4 times for every 1 rotation of the crank shaft, they only move about 0.020 inches, while the piston moves about 3.5 inches. At 3000 rpm, the points move at 8 in/sec while the piston moves at a whopping 350 in/sec! That's almost 45 times faster.

In terms of rotational rate, the crankshaft, unless you want to include the alternator shaft or one of the other accessories. The camshaft and the distributor rotor rotate at half the crankshaft speed.

Those electric fans they use now spin pretty fast, too, but I assume that you were referring to rotating engine parts.
