Brother, Indian team miserably fails because of two irresponsible man Dravid and Chappell. And it is absolutly true, They both are poor teacher n leader respectively. This is a real truth. I predicted before this world cup that India will lose to bangladesh just bcoz of these two and frankly speaking i m not surprised at all. If u see from the past two years India only won there matches at home soil and Chappell experimentation results in huge disaster. He almost ruined the carrer of Irfan pathan, ganguly, laxman and many just because of his stubborn nature. If u remember, Australian media warned india of Chappell inpraticle approach towards english state teams when he was coach there.

and Dravid of course, just look at the body language of dravid in the field. He never appreciate his fielders. he is a great thinker and batsman but a poor skipper. He is one who can made great strategies but failed to implement when it matters.
This is nothing that i blame him just bcoz everyone blams captain but it is a reality. I think he was never known to be a aggresive cricketer and we have to accept this thing. His fielding efforts were pathetic. He was the most misreable fielder turnd for Indian team. His stamina is gone. He should take retirement from One day cricket. ganguly and Yuvraj should assigned the captain and vice captain position.

The coaching was inferior and the coach was busy raking up trouble with the cricketeers and bringing down their morale, instead of concentrating on superlative performance by uplifting the teams morale and keep the team spirit alive.
The chief and the board members are busy doing something else, and are not accountable or responsible. I wonder why keep them ? I mean are they required, or do they contribute anything for the team's performance, If not, they should be cut off.
Rahul dravid is a good man and a good cricketeer, but not a good captain. He was not able to keep the cohesiveness of the team or maintain the team spirit or the morale of the team as used to be done by Azharuddin or saurabh ganguly.

S Ganguly R Uthappa R Dravid S Tendulkar Y Singh D Karthik M S Dhoni A Agarkar Z Khan A Kumble / Harbajan Sreesanth Reserves Munaf Patel G Gambhir S Raina This team is important, Sreesanth who has been a failure against WIndies can do greater useful in distant places wickets, Raina being the ultimate fielder is likewise an determination for Karthik or Gambhir it their worst case. In WIndies i've got not got faith any further spinner like RPowar is to be secure. additionally Pathan & Sehwag are actually not required at this degree.

The miserable performance agains Bangladesh was mainlyh due to over confidence and complacency as Indian team did not take Bangladesh as strong opponent. By the time they realised their mistake it was too late. In the match against Sri Lanka, India failed to show the killer instinct and urge to win.

Both the matches were lost due to collective failure of batsmen and bowlers as they failed to perform to their potential.

see i think, they lacked wht is called team coordination.they did not have a good team coordination.secondly ,i think what the indian team lacks majorly is the team spirit and the never say die spirit.they dont know how to play till the last ball and mind u not only play but how to play well till the last ball.they tend to give up midway.thirdly ,the team should have had better players in a very good form.they were not playin for small cup ,they were playin for THE WORLD CUP.
i think these reasons are more than enough to explain why indian team failed miserably in the world cup.

due to Sehwag, Sachin, Ganguly, rahul did his job. but some where he is also responsible.

remember there is 11 players, just blaming only captain it is not a fair, vice captain is also have some responsibilities. this a team work.

batting and bowlers also having some responsibilities.
because they are also paid by BCCI.

coach can not do any thing when team is on the field. and sachin,(with 25000 runs) sourav (15000 run) and sahwag and rahul having more experience than Dhoni and yuvraj. if manaf and bazi did not made these run then it was below 150 run.

captain choose bowling instant batting, this was his mistake.
captain did told to yuvraj for run out and to ganguly for 7 runs only i am sure if yuvraj was not a run out than it was a good partnership. because yuvraj is not a bad bat. but it is too late.

think about 2011.

Good QUESTION
I will need a Mahabharata to write the problems of Indian cricket team. I will write as point by point.
1. Indian batting Failure = REASON:-Indian batsmen like sachin, sewag, Uthappa, dhoni etc failed. In Indian cricket team only Ganguly played well
2. Indians are not taking their skills in both batting and fielding =REASON:-They are taking other teams as small. They didn’t take their over all skill. In fielding if the ball is coming to a mid fielder he didn’t take that ball instead of that he showed his one hand to the fielder near the boundary thus one run is losing. If the mid fielder catches it he can avoid it
3. NO Confidence=REASON:-Before they were playing with Australia In mini world cup they booked the ticket of returning in flight. It’s a good example that India had no confidence
4. Coach is bad=REASON:-After the coming of Chappel. How many incidents take place in Indian cricket team? Like the removal of Ganguly it’s a good example for the weak of chapel. Search wiki pedia and search the carriers of John Wright and Greg chapel you will understand the difference
5. Selection committee’s failure=REASON:-Uthappa played only few matches from that matches he played well. So they choose them for cricket team for world cup .but he didn’t play very well in world cup. Think the selection committee should think twice
THE NEXT POINT IS MY DOUBT DON’T TAKE IT SERIOUS
6. Like woolmer Indian cricket team is also a member of betting mafias or teams
7. Bowlers spend much runs

And many more

The reasons of defeat:
1. Poor captaincy by dravid
2. Bad coaching by Greg Chappel, the"flop master".

Lack of dedication and Poor planning . they have best batsmen and good bowler in the team ... Poor Fielding is a general problem ! it can not be solved !! Chappel's polcies came to a complete failure ! he might be thinking good for the team but it could not suit indian team......and Dravid is best player but unfortunately not a good Captain..so see!! there were many problems !
