I live in Dallas Tx. a friend gave me the plants last spring from his yard. They are coming back real well. What do I need to do for them..such as fertilizer etc. all natural please I do not use chemicals. He also told me I was the only person he ever gave some to that didn't have them die..also said they should give fruit this summer. Any help is appreciated.

Go to a farm store and get some natural. Sheep is common, but use sparingly, or the entire neighborhood will know.

Apply 2-4 ounces of ammonium nitrate per original plant every spring or alternatively use equivalent lower rates of 10-10-10 compound fertilizers.

Where I live they grow wild and they keep multiplying . Every year theres more and more until finally i put up a fence to hopefully make a barrier to stop them and would dig up the new growths until they stopped. I still have them and every year enjoy their fruit. I never do anything to them. The birds love them too. bettyk

mulch is allways a good way to ffeed ,keep weeds down for a short time and hold in moisture .just be sure not to bury the place where the plant meets the dirt you will kill them .

If they are growing well, then just make sure that they are watered and make sure that animals don't get to them so you will actually have fruit.
