Hey, Paint Chips--would you really rather be safe than free? If the Founding Fathers had felt the same way, we'd still belong to England. But I respect the fact that you at least realize that many people are willing to sacrifice their rights for safety. They could very well end up with neither, because none of this nonsense is going to stop the next terrorist attack.

Because we have been too lenient lately 9/11 should have showed you that.Our freedom must be protected at all costs.We must change our mind set in order to remain a safe and secure country.Have you been Abroad and see the MILITARY in full combat gear securing the airport's.Do you want this.Remember that this is a free country and if you find a place better there is nothing holding you here.

I hate to say it, but it's because the average person is an ignorant, apathetic slob. Sad, but true! The average idiot on the street is only a mindless lemming consumer who only cares about stuffing their face with McDonald's while driving their trendy, 8-miles-to-the-gallon SUV land yacht, or sitting and drooling in front of the big screen TV they bought at Wal-Mart while they watch thought-provoking programing like American Idol, Survivor, or NASCAR. And we wonder why voter turnout for elections is only 30-40%. Pathetic...

People vote for frauds and broken promises. Also most voters have no real idea what it took to get us here. Our colleges were filled with freedom hating liberal professors in the 60's and 70's that have taught lies against America and the minds of mush sucked in the lies . Taking God out of our schools have cost us dearly. We are about one genaration from no turning back. If we are not #1 we will fall. And the Democrats hate God and freedom! Period!

Some things in life are more important than our own personal freedoms. Ask our soldiers , they understand this. As Mr. Spock would say " the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one".

People who ask this question are guilty of something or just uneducated. Which one is it? Also next time use spell check. Thomas Jefferson wrote "Peace at any price is not peace at all". John Adams wrote "Those who want freedom without security or liberty will get none" Also please note that one freedom we must have in a free society is the freedom from fear of being killed by ter rorists. Also please note that freedom of speech does not mean someone is forced to listen. Therefore the gov't has a duty to arrest all antiwar protesters who are on public property.
