Accounting degrees come in a few flavors.

Accounting, Managerial Accounting, or even Forensic Accounting. Bachelor of Science - Accounting is the most common, and most directly related tot he CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam.

With an existing bachelors degree, you can count on 2 years of the requirements being covered by your gen ed courses taken. Then, it is a university by university decision. So 1-2 years or 32-64 credits. Some schools like Franklin university have specific "subsequent degree programs" for situations like yours.

Your major would be accounting. It depends on how long it would take to finish the classes. You might consider becoming a teacher and taking online classes to become an accountant.
