Will it occur? No - just a load more has-beens going over to boost their pensions before they retire.

Who would go? Older players... might get Sheringham, possibly Ronaldo in a few years, guys like that - players who made their big reputations in times past, but are still big names and can command big money. Or, younger players, who didn't make it big in the European top leagues, but would do well in a lesser league.

What would you compare the MLS to? English Championship(lower end)/League One (2nd/3rd tier).

Will the MLS now get more cover? Probably a bit more, but I don't imagine it'll ever become as big as the Premiership, La Liga, Serie A or Bundesliga. The problem is competing with four huge leagues already established, which I don't think it can do in the USA.

i think some more decent players might move over there but not until they reach the end of their careers. And even if they do i dont see the MLS becoming anywhere near as popular as the Premiership La Liga or Serie A as American sports are too commercialised and i dont think most Europeans will care what happens in the MLS when theres plenty of excitment in Europe. Also even if some big names do move over there the MLS might get some good publicity but the games still wouldnt be brilliant as a few good players dont make a team and the players already there arent at a high enough standard to make the games as exciting as games in Europe.

There may be a few players from Europe come over, but MLS will never be as big as the EPL, La Liga, etc...

I hope some great players come before they are past their prime so I can go watch them...
