if you've never been there then all the obvious places eg. london eye, big ben, westminster abbey, st pauls cathedral, natural history museum, buckingham palace, downing street, oxford street (the shops), trafalgar square or you could take a bus tour of the city which is easiest cuz you dont have to get on any trains or tubes.
the last time i went there i went to the royal college of surgeons (i think that's what its called..) which has a really weird but fascinating museum with loads of preserved specimines (i know it sounds quite dull but its actually really interesting!). its free of charge aswell but i cant remember where it is..

London Eye.
Tate Modern.
National Gallery.
Oxford St. / Marble Arch / Soho / Leicester Sq. / Shaftsberry Avenue (main shopping / theatre / entertainment) district
I could go on
** edit **
Spitalfields Market, Camden Town, Tate Britain, South Bank
** edit **
South Kensington - You have The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum (really good), and Harrods - the most famous shop in the world all within walking distance of each other. And there some great shopping in Knightsbridge here also.
All of the museums and galleries I have mentioned are also free

My vote would include but not limited to:
The London Eye
The British Museum [Rosetta Stone]
Hyde Park, Speakers Corner, Sundays
Victoria Station
Harrods
The Changing of the Guard
And just riding the Tube and the Buses with a Day Pass to see what you can find!
Thanks, RR

There are some great schools, maybe you could learn how to write or ask a question properly.
Example: "Best Places of London?" What visit?...... could be
"What are the best places to visit in London?"

Try a river boat cruise, that is really nice you get to see loads of London. The London eye too! I recommend going to the Tate modern there is always something good to see there and if you have time try and see a show.

Camden Town for shopping that is a little bit different to your usual shops.
London Zoo is a great place to go.
Greenwich is wonderful if you are interest in maritime history and you can stand on the Greenwich meridian line at the Royal Observatory (and there is a great weekend market at Greenwich too).
