If you don't have any books or games like word puzzles or a good novel take along a notebook and pen and start a diary of how your day was yesterday and the day of the bus ride you can look back on that day and remeber And also write your goals down or write about how you feel about each close friend you might be suprise at how interesting that would be just take along a notebook and pen and be creative have fun!

You could bring a CD player, MP3 player, DVD player, camera to take pictures on the ride, and stuff like that you could also talk to your friends part of the time, and bring handheld games like boggle or tic tac toe or play a game that only involes people like a pick a movie game. You have to think of a movie then give the other person a hint to try and guess the movie. You can play with 2 and up.
Good Luck!!

unless it's a charter bus, plan on your six hours lasting up to 14 hours. bring food! that's a real key there. few bus terminal have anything more than the worst possible choices, and the prices are insane. i'd suggest a deck cards, and anything you could use for a tray...even a piece of cardboard. if you like meeting people, offer a game with someone. if not, play solitaire.
you're really setting yourself up for some boring hours if you don't consider the other options you mentioned... books, etc.

I'm sorry, but a book is the best thing I could recommend. Books keep your mind sharp and, if you enjoy it enough, will pass the time with ease. Bring a book and a pillow because you will probably be sleepy after an hour or two of reading. If you have a bunch of time with nothing to do you might as well do something constructive.

Do you have an ipod or a walkman? get a book on tape from the library, harry potter on tape is great to listen to for all ages. And make sure not to get on people's nerves, if you annoy someone in the first hour you've got 5 more awkward hours to sit through. if you are allowd food then make sure to bring lots. If you are a people person try to make conversation. Good luck!

An Mp3 player, if you have one. You could put like an audio book or something on it if you don't want to listen to music the whole time.

You could learn a bit of a foreign language, too. Like, with those repeat-after-me cd's or something.

You could bring a light snack with you too. Peanuts or something like that to keep yourself occupied.

You can bring a Rubik's Cube with you. Try to solve it on the way.

Or maybe you could bring paper&a pen. Write poetry, draw, or come up with a story.

You could talk to some friends on a cell phone to waste some time, too.

Yeah..That's pretty much all I can think of. Have fun on your trip..

Entertainment is already on the bus. Just pay attention to some of the characters that will be riding on the bus. I have been on plenty of bus rides and I always get a kick out of some of the passengers. Usually you alway find that someone that will talk you to death.

Catch up on your sleep. That's what I did when taking a 12 hour ride from New York to Toronto.

Get some embroidery thread and make friendship bracelets, or after you read through magazines go through and rip out pictures that would be neat for a collage....that's about all i've got

Try writing something for fun...story, poem, letters. Do you like to draw?

Enjoy the scenery. Think about your future and make some mental plans. Jot them down. Do some embroidery.
