if we truely are living in the land of the free in america... then why dont police and the law respect peoples right to not want there picture taken or to followed everyday by the stalkers with cameras? is it gonna take someone getting killed to enforce laws and rights?

Are you referring to the paparazzi or security cameras?
Because I just checked, and there's no one following me with a camera.
Don't pick your nose in public and you'll be fine. (Or pick it, and end up on YouTube.. )

Hmm, well consider in China, if you had a TV show like the Daily Show or Colbert Report, all of those people would be in jail for saying the things they do. So if this is the land of incarceration, what is China? It is much easier to be thrown in jail in China, and you can forget about appeals, and you can forget about due process, habeas corpus and all those other nice rights. In fact, in most foreign countries that aren't first world, forget about any rights if the authorities want you in jail. They will put you there and that's that. You can forget about health care, entertainment, education in jail. You will be in a dirty, unlit cell with many people and if you get a stale piece of bread a day, you're in a good jail.

The camera thing......................... two words---- Patriot Act.
Just flip them off, I've been doing it for a while now. Of coarse that might not be the wisest thing to do. I started video taping the police when they had someone pulled over and they would let that car go and come to me and question what I was doing and I told them - you watch us and I watch you. I'm on a public street and not breaking any laws. They don't like that very much, but whats good for the goose is good for the gander!

Hello, if the law enforcement agencies had used some of the powers they have now, then there probably wouldn't have been a 9/11.

We are no longer the land of the free! We stopped being free after 9/11 and the clown in the White house started his War on Terror. When you think of it though, a "War" on terror is like putting a band aid on a broken arm. There have always been terrorist and there will always be terrorist.

Freedom has nothing inherently to do with privacy.
You can be entirely free (unlimited in what you can do) in a glass house. The only limits that apply are what you choose not to do, because you are being watched.
