I would say nose guard/defensive tackle. It's a position where if you are fast enough you could jump off the line and hit the center before he knows what's coming. But if you want to go for offense I would say guard. If you gain about 20-30 more pounds you would be big enough for D-1 college already. And the guy before me is wrong as far as I know. This isn't pop warner, you can play wherever you want. I just feel like at 245 going into high school, most likely you haven't even reached your potential in the weight room and you will get bigger. So linebacker and fullback most likely aren't good positions for you. There are many fullbacks and linebackers in the NFL who aren't 245, but in the end, if you can't decide just let the coach pick you position.

That is about the size I was at your age. I am currently a college senior, but I remember how it was way back then. Your best bet would be Offensive or Deffensive tackle. If you are more aggressive then you would be a prime canidate for defensive tackle. If your less agressive and more fundamental then you would be a prime canidate for offensive tackle. It just depends on your level of aggressiveness when it comes down to it. If you are in decent shape, then defensive tackle is the way to go! Just put yourself in the opponents backfield and cause all kind of hell! Hope it works out for ya! Good Luck!!

Start out at DE and build your weight up. If you like the positions work on speed and upper body. You should have more room to grow height-wise because you're still young. If you become faster as high school progresses think about OLB if you feel ready for college ball. Good Luck.

If what you described in the question is true, then you could go right to varsity considering you know how to use your talent. You could be a Defensive End, Tight End, Linebacker, or even a Fullback. But, their are lots of factors that could play into getting one of these positions.

Linemen. You would do great on the line. But you would probably need to either lose some weight or gain some muscle to do good in other positions. But your should get a great deal of sacks on the QB being that big.

You could be a good TE for now and valuable in the red zone if your coach likes to pass inside the opponents 20 yd line.Your blocking must be good on outside running plays.

You'd be good on the line. Plus some high schools have rules that like if you're over 150 or something you can't play backfield.

My brother played football for all of his high school and so I know a lil about it. At least I know enough to say if your strong you'd most likely make a good lineman. Good luck!

ghaad is full of it ...ten to one you are if not the biggest guy on the team pretty close..What ghaad said is like NFL size for a full back lol you should try out for Gaurd and Defencive tackle..Thats what would be best suited for you...but to play it well you gotta be aggressive...
