wear a hat on the way home.
Swimming hats wont stop your hair getting wet, but somehow stop the chlorine molecules getting at your hair and causing damage so if you are planning on going regularly I would think about investing in one- it's 1/2 hr of feeling foolish, for a better hair the whole of the rest of the time!

If I we're you I would wear a swim cap, there like five dollars at a sport store or wash your hair when you get out of the pool, or just tie it back in a pony tail! I hope I helped, and good luck!

Don't ever dry it directly from being soaked with chlorinated water. You're blow-drying the chlorine right into the shaft--literally frying your hair with a very drying chemical. Chlorine removal shampoo is an absolute must, followed by a swimmer's conditioner. I use UltraSwim myself, and my hair condition has never changed from when before I was a swimmer.

You could get a cap.
Alternatively, you could wash it after you get out the pool and use plenty of conditioner.
If you're thinking of going regularly, you can buy travel straighteners that you charge up at home and take around with you, not sure about prices though.

Get a hair cap like the olimpic swimmers. They should have one at your local sheels or sporting store.

Tie it back in a ponytail until you get home. Or wear a hat!
