I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring LXI which I "won" in a divorce settelement 2 years ago. Since I have had this evil car, I've had the tires repaired at least 8 times, had to replace 1 tire and have a constant problem losing air in them. I was told by a mechanic that this model/make of car was known to have a problem with the "beading" on the rims. I've been to the official Chrysler web site and nothing about this there. Anyone else have this problem and what can I do? Don't suggest new rims please, I'm, POOR! lol Thanks!

common issue with those its due to pitting on the rim preventing the bead from sealing tire... to repair you need to break down tire and smooth out the bead with a wire brush

next time you have the tires off the car let out the air from the tire and wire brush the rim bead. with the air out you will be able to move the tire away from the rim. not to much just enough to get in the cracks. if that does not fix it then your ex is in town close by keep a eye on your car. try to park in a garage and see if the tires go flat. also have you put on new stems

i own a shop, and that's there way of getting out of repairing it,id go find me a good rim from a junk yard and it may be in the tire its self, but there are other rims that will fit it,any junk yard probably has a few of these, i myself work on a lot of dodges, and have never heard of such of a problem unless the rim was bent a little, good luck hope this helps.

move to new house and don't let the ex know where you moved to.

You can get a good set of rims in a junk yard for $50 or less for all 4
