turn ignition key to "acc" position so odometer shows, press
and hold trip meter reset button and turn ignition on (dont start
engine) after approx 5 seconds trip meter will show all
zeros indicating mileage service interval is reset

you have to turn on the first stage of the ignition while holding down the mileage reset button. the mileage gauge will blink a couple times, then the light will turn off. I took mine to the dealer the first time it happened and they showed me how to do it.

read the manual it usually says how to do it. i know in my car i hafta turn the lights on and off so many times and press on the brake so many times. but look it up in the manual.

I think if you disconnect the battery, the light will go off. But, you will have to reset clock then.
