The mouth is one of the most bacteria-ridden places in the body. Your BF is at significant risk of getting a nasty infection. He should see a doctor.

How can he accidently pierce his tongue? He should see a doctor if it seems infected. Take some ibuprofen for the pain and swelling and keep putting ice on it. Thats about all he can do by himself.

when i got my tongue pierced, the piercing guy told me that it will hurt for about 5-7 days and that you will have to suck alot of ice, maybe some mouthwash to num the pain and orjel and sometime it will bleed alittle because of the nerve in your in your tongue, just don't try to eat solid food, alot of soft food, soup.mash pototoes,(exect) and if you know someone with some good painpills or just ask the person who pierced his tongue for more advice.

take that thing out of your mouth like yesterday!!!
you are allergic to the metal.
if you dont want metal poisoning take the dam thing out!!
like yesterday!!
you should be shot for getting the dam thing in the first place.
what if you accidently swallowed the thing?
they would have to operaTE ON YOU TO GET THE DAM THING OUT!!
if your tongue is infected they will have to cut the thing off and you will never be able to talk!!

Well! most common cause of pain is a infection of some sort, my guest if he don't get to the ER ASAP,then he's gonna lose his tongue or worst die!

If pierced with metal, it may get infected. So see a Doc soon.
If just by teeth, it will heal soon. Mouth heals.

"accidentally" pierced his tongue...hmmmm. go to doc or ER - probably infected. not something to mess with.
