legal for only few things but not for all like movies which a person try to download from the net this is illegal

depends on what you are downloading!
no one is gonna go after you if its free to download and use.
But then you probably don't mean that, do you?
Downloading copyrighted stuff, without paying, is definitely illegal, though a lot of people do it quite casually.

Some down loading is legal, some is not. Depends on the site, if in public domain it is legal. If it "indicates/understood no downloading allowed" then it is illegal.

It depends from where u are downloading for example if u download a movie from iTunes store or from a site that u pay for the movie is not illegal but if u download movies from Limewire
or eMule is illegal
