Next captain should be purely on merit and ganguly has already proved himself a good captain. He is able to keep the team morale high, keep the team spirit and keep the cohesiveness in the team which rahul dravid could not do. He is proven material and until he is fit he should be captain. Taking a risk of chosing a untested player, could be disastrous at this stage. He also brings a lot of experience with him, which team india needs at this time.

Your question is not clear. You want to ask who will be the next captain for Indian cricket team. I think Dravid is a good player and good captain too but he is not a best captain. His captaincy is over after world cup.I think Ganguly will be leader of Indian team. He can shift the Indian cricket to high level as TEAM INDIA from the present poor level. He is the best captain of India for ever .

Brother, Indian team miserably fails because of two irresponsible man Dravid and Chappell. And it is absolutly true, They both are poor teacher n leader respectively. This is a real truth. I predicted before this world cup that India will lose to bangladesh just bcoz of these two and frankly speaking i m not surprised at all. If u see from the past two years India only won there matches at home soil and Chappell experimentation results in huge disaster. He almost ruined the carrer of Irfan pathan, ganguly, laxman and many just because of his stubborn nature. If u remember, Australian media warned india of Chappell inpraticle approach towards english state teams when he was coach there.
and Dravid of course, just look at the body language of dravid in the field. He never appreciate his fielders. he is a great thinker and batsman but a poor skipper. He is one who can made great strategies but failed to implement when it matters.
This is nothing that i blame him just bcoz everyone blams captain but it is a reality. I think he was never known to be a aggresive cricketer and we have to accept this thing. His fielding efforts were pathetic. He was the most misreable fielder turnd for Indian team. His stamina is gone. He should take retirement from One day cricket. ganguly and Yuvraj should assigned the captain and vice captain position

Irrespective of the failure in the world cup, Rahul Dravid will remain as Captain of Indian Team. Though Ganguly fared well against Bangladesh and Barmuda, he failed to perform when good performance from him was most wanted against Sri Lanka.

I prefer Ganguly too if the BCCI allows him to continue playing for India. He has been India's most successful captain with a proven track record.

Laloo should be the next captain of indian team ... because any way we have to lose the matches .. so atleast we can hear a good comment and speach by laloo why we lose the match.
for eg if the laloo was the captain for present worldcup 2007 and the same if he loses the match .. he would have said " acctuually it is not the fault of me or team ... this is the fault of
goverment who has not provided the proper milk .. the reason behind it is no proper buffaloos in our country ... we have only malnutrious buffaloos so the out put is malnutrios team .... so we should change our govement for not providing good buffalooooooos ".
