NOT AS CLOSE to the rest of the 'West Indies' and nearer to Florida

The West Indies are made up of the traditional countries that played cricket years ago. these were all british territories and formed an association called the west indies federation. bermuda however was never really a cricket playing nation nor a part of the west indies federation and as such was not included in the team.

Bermuda is not part of the West Indies, it is located in the Atlantic Ocean and not the Caribean as such, the only real link it has with it is that it too had the same past as the other Islands and is the end tip of the Bermuda Triangle.

No Bermuda is now actually a part of America having been traded during the second world by Churchill for some useless old rust buckets of ships that the crooks in America would not let go until they were allowed to use Bermuda as an off shore banking haven for their drugs money

bermuda is offically a british territory although it is plays in the stanford 20/20 tournament which is a carribean tournament it is separate from the west indies although it applied to host some games :)
