for the book i am writing i need a name that is for the main charater. she is a tomboy. and she hates girly stuff. please help me!

Well why dont you put a girly name for her and in the book she can hate it. Well that was just a suggestion ..
Well a tomboy name could be .. Martha, Jesse (there are some girls with that name) Alexis, sammy, ......

I think the best tomboyish name would be a butch name that is shortened from a girly name; such as Sam which is short for Samantha.
There are many others you could choose from also.
Jo/Joanne Lou/Louanne Paul/Paula Danny/Dannielle Alex/Alexis or Alexa Charlie/Charlene
BJ or Bobbie/Bobbie Jean(I know a girl named this)
You could also use a name that can be used for either a boy or girl; such as..... Gene Lee Erin Jaime Toni Jesse the list goes on and on....
If you dont like any of these maybe this website can help you..... it tells you what names have been used the most during certain time periods

Charlie, short for Charlotte. Charlotte is a pretty girlie name, at least I think so, and that would make her hate it if she is a tomboy. That would make it pretty ironic.
