It's just another Hollywood distortion of history, although by all accounts a good one. I don't think the average person would even connect the Persians of that day with modern Iran, or Xerxes with Ahmedinejad. It's not a deliberate disrespect to Iran, just the usual disrespect of anything foreign, something the rest of the world has to live with, I'm afraid!

It has very little to do with some big secret holly wood agenda. The movie 300 is based upon Frank Miller's graphic novel which was based off of a 60s movie called the 300 Spartans. That movie was based off of Battle of Thermopylae which was an actual historical event. Frank Miller's novel came out before 9/11 which was when the current war started. The people who say the movie 300 is an attempt at America disrespecting foreign cultures are just looking into it too much.

Persians were originally Iraqi's/Iranians. They were not originally Europeans, but migrated from Africa to the Middle East/Mesopotamia. Look at a map and see that the Middle East and Africa are right next to each other.

It was just a movie for entertaining purposes. But they got alot of the fact correct also. You don't want to discuss those huh. But really, it wasn't a documentary.

Why do you sound as though you were imploring to people?

Those who don't respect others infact have no respect for themselves or their identity. There's nothing wrong with you.
