I was cramping bad enough, when i wore the tampon my cramps seemed to get worse, is it a given that tampons will make you cramp worse?

It is not necessarily the tampon that is making the cramp worse. With tampons, you do not want to leave them in for long. That is one of the biggest mistakes that many women have. With the companies making stronger ones, heavy flow, the tampons are often left in longer. When you leave them in too long, they will hold the moister and blood in the body which can produce cramps.

I used to have horrible cramps and have been using tampons for the past year. I use the regular ones and change them at least every 3 hours if not quicker. And for my cramps, when I wake up, I will do stretches and if time, walks. Exercise will help loosen the muscles, relaxing them. Also, if you take a wash cloth that is soaked with hot water, put it into a plastic bag and hold up to the area of the cramps. It will help, heat and moisture help a lot.
Hope this is of help

I've never heard of tampons affecting cramps. You may ask your doctor to see if there is any reason that they would...or do some online research and see if you can find any reports of a connection between the two.

I don't know if its a given, but my cramps get a little worse when I use a tampon. I'm using the right size and absorbency and its in correctly, so I dunno what is up.

No. It makes no difference what protection you use.
