Ok, I've been working at Victoria's secret since last october (2005) and I will tell you. There is no catch, I dont' say it cuz i'm an employee. I have a card of my own. It really is as easy as they make it seem. The reason they want you to get the credit card is so you can get the 100 dollar saving coupon book. It allows you to get bras to half off and free panties all the time, this way, we've brought you into the store to get something and you will be more likely to be a loyal customer who enjoys our stuff and will be future business. But it's an easy card to get, just pay it off when u sign up or use it at the time and there will be 0% interest. Trust me, it's a good card. I let my mom use the half off bras and free panties all the time! :) and here's another thing we really aren't supposed to say, but when ur done w/ur coupon book, just call the 800 no. and ask for another coupon book :) so u'll have unlimited savings! Take care!!!

Here's the secret: you can pretty much do that with ANY credit card. If you pay it off during the payment cycle, you don't pay interest. That simple. And here's another thing: store credit cards jack you on interest. You're much, much better off getting a regular credit card with no annual fee and a lower interest rate. Shop around! Most even have bonuses, like points, air miles, or money back. But credit is a slippery slope no matter where you go, and once your credit score is ruined, it takes years to fix it. Wit that in mind, if you know you're responsible and level-headed, get a regular credit card and use it at Victoria's Secret. As a rule, try to pay it off in the same month, but once in a while leave a little bit of a balance to roll through to the next month, then pay it off. That'll build up your credit score.

Having a Victoria's Secret card is good because you can also use it in Bath and Body works. Any credit card can be paid off with cash or check/money order after you use it. Keeping your interest down, but you will need to watch your spending anyway because few people can control themselves. Also, to get a Victoria's Secret credit card , you need to have a MAJOR credit card to get it. Consider your spending on that one also, which adds to your overall credit card debt.

You probably get additional discounts if you use it in the store or online but be sure to pay off the balance each month because the interest rates on store credit cards are usually very high.
If you can find some advantage to using it and you can pay it off monthly then why not? But if there is no real advantage there is no point in getting any store card.

Most credit cards allow you to pay your balance in full and pay no interest if your payment reaches them by the bill's due date. That's how I use all my credit cards most of the time.
There should be no catch...but I prefer major credit cards to cards for specific stores. Their interest rates tend to be significantly higher than a major credit card, and should you need to carry a balance for some reason, it makes sense for the interest to be the lowest possible.

I have a VS card--if i use it, when i get the bill I just pay it off right then. Interest isn't a big deal (if you don't max it out or can't pay it off at one time)

yes its true..but they are betting on the fact that you wont. Murphy's law always comes into play...they know that 99.9% of people will not pay it off. And what ever it takes to make a sell they will basically do it.
