If you fancy a really good historical fiction novel, try Emperor: The Gates Of Rome by Conn Iggulden. It's easy to read and if you enjoy it, you can read the next three instalments, as they are all out now!

Alternatively, try The World According To The Man In The Pub by Robert Anwood. It contains 201 of our favourite dubious pub facts explained in a humorous and enjoyable way.

Mr Clarinet by Nick Stone. I can't say wnought good things about this book.
It's a crime/thriller that grabs hold of you and stick to you like glue. When I started reading it I was half way thgouth before realising that I hadn't eaten yet!
After that book you might like to have a wee laugh. You should read Around Ireland With A Fridge by Tony Hawks (not that skateboarder). it's a tale of a ver odd bet where Tony has to go around Ireland with a fridge and Is hilariously true.
Billy Connely's biography Billy is another great and honest read that left my speachless.
If you can find it Bruce Campbell's biography If Chins Coud Kill: Confessions Of A B-Movie Actor is a supberby holiday book.
Still in the mood for a laugh then you should check out Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. A funny tale about the end of the world.
My last pick is back to Crime with Stuart MacBride's book Cold Granite, a murder sent in Aberdeen. gripping and an unstoppable read.

Just a few ideas. I never go on holiday with out three books, variety and all that. Hope this was helpfull. Trust me on Mr Clarinet.
