Kinda stuck indoors with chickenpox at the moment and as i have my pc i was hoping there was a site for private landlords. Going through letting agencies etc would not be cost effective for me. Any help appreciated.

I assume from your question you are looking to rent somewhere in your area. Private landlords would not probably be on line in their business capacity only as private individuals and if you don't know who they are you can't contact them .Of course the larger rental firms would be but again they are far more likely to use agencies. I think you will get more success from your local paper or Yellow Advertiser as this is where the smaller landlord will tend to advertise.Most of these free papers come through your door each week so you don't have to go out to get them.I live in Basildon and there is a 3 bedroom house up for rent 3 doors down from me and the chap who owns it does his own lettings.

try marquis estates. they rent in a town quite local to you and have a website.
