I am a 37 yr old female. Every month before my period my breast get really sore. Well this month my nipples are really sore along with my breast. Even a shower bothers me. I have also been getting really nauseous at night for the last week. I was trying to get pregnant but gave up about a year ago. I have 2 children, 15 and 16, but don't remember the signs. when I look up my symptoms on the web all I get is really bad stuff that could be wrong. Could it be menopause? I have a doctors appointment wed. but need someone else to tell me something. lol

Its normal that you get nauseous. My friend and her mother both basically get the flu, every time they have their period. She throws and and stays home from work when she has her period. It probably isnt too serious.

You're rather young for menopause, so I doubt you're going through "the change." PMS is not just being crabby during your period. For some women it can be a series of symptoms, much like you have described, before your period. If severe enough there is medication that can help with it.

You did the right thing by making an appointment with your doctor. But honestly, don't lose sleep over it. It's probably just PMS.

Best of luck!

To me it sounds lkike you could be pregnant. Sounds like what I went through when I was pregnant. But at the same time, my mother in law had some of the same symptons that you have when you started menopause. Its a tricky situation for you. You have a lot of the same sympthons for 2 different outcomes. A good web site to check out is webmd.com. Good luck with the doctors appointment.

It is very normal for your breast to be sensitive prior to your period. However, the best advice is to discuss this over with the gyn dr.

I doubt it's menopause. Maybe you should take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
