No reasonable person is scared of a ouiji board.
People who believe in ghosts are being silly.
What happens is, everyone puts their finger-tips on the board, and subconsciously control where the board goes.
That's how it works.
Because a lot of people believe in psychic phenomena, they think something scarey is going on.
They're wrong.

I've used the Ouija over the years with different people. And for the most part, it is harmless fun. However...there have been a few times when a spirit is contacted that is a little on the spooky side. We had one once, that refused to leave. Who said it would remain in the house even if we weren't playing. I don't know what happened, b/c was not my house! Whew! I feel that the Ouija, packaged by Parker Bros and made to be a kids game...is anything but. I believe that the board acts as a portal, and while you may contact a harmless spirit who wants to chat...you can also contact a not so harmless one. Not to say, that it can actually hurt you, but the feeling in the room definately changes depending on the spirit you are channeling. I haven't played in a long time, b/c the last one kept going to dark topics and wouldn't veer, but, one day, I might play again if the mood strikes. I don't a own a board, however, have always played at someone else's house on someone else's board....I guess I'm a tad bit superstitous and a little wary. Oh, and as to the last part of your question....I have never touched one....s*** , that would cure me of the urge to play one ever again!! One last thing. I have had fun playing, but, I noticed that when I do play, I start to want to play more....hmmm. Whatever,,,it's all subjective...everyone is going to have different experiences because we are all different and we bring varying types of energy to the board. I say if you want to play...play. And if you don't...don't.

No, I'm not scared of ouiji boards.. But I guess it's easy for me to say that because I've never used one before. Perhaps I would change my mind if I had.

I think you can thank the religious community for this one. The horror stories about being possessed by numerous creepy things comes to mind. I mean in all the youth groups I've gone to that talked about this thing, no one has said that they started playing and nothing happened. It's always so much drama! I may go out and get one just to see for my self. Hey, who just touched my shoulder? lol

not scared,,, just experienced. Ouija is a portal that should be left alone by those not familiar with the paradoxes of the world of the occult. In the occult world as in any world there are forces different from another, each fulfilling a different function in the whole, and if you are not educated in the understanding and the working of the dark forces it can lead to a very bad time being had by all. evil does exist

When looking for direction in life God wants us to go to him not a see-er or the use of dark magic. Dark magic is anything not of God. His ways are true and just. Their were heavy consiquences in the bible for people that would seek out or use this power.
