it is possible to have bleeding in the first trimester of pregnancy that for some reason happens at around the same time you would expect your period it happened to me for the first 2 months wiht my first pregnancy so i did not miss a period until 3 months and didnt take a test until then so i got a big surprise as far as the test showing up negative i never took a test like i said during the first 2 months so i do not know if they would have shown up positive or negative you should go to a clinic and get checked out because they can do a blood test to get a more accurate answer good luck hope this helps

You cannot get a period while you are pregnant---because they are opposites. A period is the absence of a pregnancy.

That being said--you can bleed occasionally during the early stages of your pregnancy--but it is NOT a period. Any bleeding you do have shouldn't be heavy like a period. If you are truly pregnant and are having period like bleeding--that could signal a serious thing like miscarriage.

You can have food cravings and have heartburn when you are having your period. The only way to make sure you are pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test. It will show positive if it detects the pregnancy hormone in your body. If it isn't, then you aren't and you are simply having your period. If it comes up positive, call your doctor immediately and get checked out.

I had bleeding in my 9th week--and when I went to the doctor, the placenta wasn't attaching properly and I had to be on bed rest for a whole week. Thankfully the placenta attached fine and the baby is doing well.

Good luck!

Question: Can you be pregnant and still get your period?

Answer: Well, no, you can't get your period once you're pregnant — once your body starts producing the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and your pregnancy is established, your menstrual cycle is interrupted and normal periods stop. But you may have bleeding or spotting during pregnancy that can seem like a period.

Some pregnant women have what's called "implantation bleeding" that can happen around the time their period is due, and they may mistake that bleeding for a period. This spotting may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of the uterus, a process that starts just 6 days after fertilization, and it's generally a lot lighter than a typical period — just a day or two of very light spotting.

It is possible. My cousin had hers up until her 7th month of pregnancy. You should get the doctor asap though.

It is possible. Take another test. It is possible that you are pregnant or may have had a miscarriage.
