Our major cities are becoming gang-infested hell holes but we continue to give money to Africa stop THEIR violence!!!!

DO NOT say anything about Iraq. They train terrorists who want to come to America and kill us. It is NOT the same thing.

We are spending a lot of money in those "gang-infested hell holes." We provide public housing, food, medicine, and education to those people so they can live like that.

And Liberals think socialism is the cure. I think socialism is the disease.

Well, you obviously are quite misinformed. Africa is a continent NOT a country. You talk about terrorists in Iraq. If you believe our president, there are terrorist in African countries. He says they are in Morocco and the Sudan just to name two. This is supposed to be a global war on terrorism right? So what's the problem?

It just so happens I agree with the general idea of keeping our money right here in the United Stated of America. A great way to stop gang violence is to actually educate the poor and disadvantaged. Invest in job programs for the youth of America that actually has a decent paying job waiting for them after they graduate. To REHABILITATE those incarcerated instead of just punishing them (punishment without rehabilitation makes for a person that's worse when they come out than when they went in). How about taking the incentive out of selling some of the illegal drugs by legalizing them? All of a sudden, a market in the drug trade disappears!

Clinton did a wonderful job making matters worse with welfare. I was all for some of the reforms, it was just the part where there were no real jobs I had the problem with.

These individuals need to grasp the fact they must take responsibility for their actions and life. There are far to many single parent families in the poor communities of this country.

We helped create many the very terrorists you are so afraid of. Your president stated Iraq did not have any links to 911, the did not have WMD's and were so broke they could not fund a picnic much less a terrorism machine.

You have brought absolutely no solutions along with your Rhetoric, just miss information.

Although I believe you mean well, it is not the responsibility of the Federal government to combat gang violence in cities. That is the total jurisdiction of the city, county and state.

Aid to foreign countries is a political tool used not only to leverage that country but also other countries whom we may need to gain influence with or over. Foreign aid is a massive waste of money but is used as an alternative to violence which will sometime still be necessary.

It is up to each state's governor or a city's mayor to request federal help for local problems. Sounds like you live near a big city where some local or state elected officials need blown out of the water.
Africa needs our help and foreign aid is handled at a federal level.

Iraq didn't train terrorists.

Money goes to some countries in the continent of Africa and it also goes to Israel and Palestine. Choosing to mention Africa is telling in itself.

Your republican representatives decided that your money belongs there would be my answer.

Why not talk about Iraq?
Are you afraid of the arguments?
Grow up.

Why are we spending so much in a pointless war that is only breeding more terrorists that want to come to America and kill us?
That should be the question.

Open your mind a little bit.

Im starting to think that your mind is one large mass of GOP.

Better still why aren't we deporting the gangs to Africa, as part of the Aid Package.

Aren't these people who keep wanting to give money to Africa the very same ones who say we should stay OUT of other countrys' affairs?

The solution to the 'inner-city' problems begins with the citizens.
If they raise their voices to the mayor, governor....something will be done.

But....they turn a blind eye because they fear the gangs.

Good question...I've been asking the same thing. Sending money to Africa is the same as burning it! It's our tax dollars, and I, for one, know that I'd prefer to spend my money on something that might just make improvements in the US.
