x-6y+4=0 solve for y=(-4 -x)/6 = -(1/6)x - (2/3)
slope = -(1/6) parallel lines have the same slope

now find where on the line f(x)= sqr(x+1) = -(1/6)
find f'(x) which I don't recall how to do but it sounds like you should if you did all the other problems and set f'(x) = -(1/6)
