mclaren has experience of managing ONE team, that team has won ONE trophy.
he had millions of cash to buy the players he needed, as england manager he does not, same as keegan, with cash they can buy a team otherwise they are shown for what they are, bad man-managers.
someone more in the peter ried mould (not suggesting him) but with more tact when it comes to these prima donna players would be ideal choice, PR can be a great motivator but he HAS to be the boss and makes it quite plain.
also, choice of team, sick of seeing the neville sisters in at every chance, lumpalard and gerrard both in the middle at the same time and rooney stotting round like a headless chicken waiting for some service as we potter about passing around slowly looking for the right break, only to hoof it towards crouch.
get back to the english way of playing, get at them and get into them.

Because we have blaimed the manager since 1966 no manager is going to do any better it is the players they should have been able to beat isreal with no manager they need to take responsibility for there sub standard performances of late

English fans always have a need to blame someone. it's just the way it is.. Why not accept the fact the England just does not have a good team and try to work on that, instead of the constant blame..
