Which OS were you using prior to Windows Vista? Did you have any problems while playing games on them?

Microsoft Windows Vista is relatively new operating system with so many issues with hardware support. There are so many hardwares which are known not to work properly with Windows Vista.

Are you sure you are using the correct graphics driver for Windows Vista shipped by your vendor, nVidia in this case?

Try upgrading the drivers and check if it fixes the problem.
