Na is 2,8,1, and F is 2,7.

An electron is given to F by Na:

Na+ is [2,8]+ and F- is [2,8]-.

The bonding is ionic - electrostatic attraction between opposite charges.

In F2, the bonding is covalent - a shared pair of electrons between the two F atoms.
