You know, if you trully don't care.....look into what different career paths pay. Go for something that you would not mind doing most of the hours of your waking life and pays you well for doing it. Personally, I believe this is not a bad way, if not the best way, to pick a major.

This question is awesome.

What I did when I got to college was take classes in every discipline possible. My first year was spent filling requirements, and so I got exposed to tons of different majors. From there, I just kept taking what I liked.

Don't feel like you have to know now. Look for the classes that interest you, no matter what subject heading they are under. If your online class registration has a "search" function, search for class topics that sound cool. I took a Forensic Anthropology class that ended up being my favorite class at Duke because I did a random class search like that.

Good luck!

I can read where you are saying that you do not like anything, but you do. There is something you really like to do. Think about it. Once you find at least one thing, see what occupations can utilize what you like, then pick the major needed.

Take classes in different disciplines to expose yourself to different fields of study, and see if you like any of those (you can use them as electives toward your degree once you declare a major). That's what I did, and I found my major.

Choose something you can use in any career, like Psychology, Sociology, English, or Business. There's no place where that won't be helpful.
Also, get a life.
