Why do you find it hard to believe? The Bin Laden family is a major player in the Middle East, especially in the construction industry. They have never been afraid to use their money to buy political influence, especially in the granting of lucrative government contracts. The Bush family has never been afraid of using its political connections to get money. Both families have been involved in arms and oil for a long time and therefore have mutual interests.

Both the Bin Laden family and Bush family have had their share of scandals:

In 1979, the Bin Ladens' relationship with the House of Saud was severely strained when pro-Iranian Islamist insurgents briefly took control of the mosque at Mecca. Trucks owned by the Bin Ladens had been used to smuggle arms into the tightly controlled city. Mahrous bin Laden had been the enabler, working with the Islamist insurgency. His connection was through the son of a Sultan of Yemen who had been radicalized by Syrian members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Mahrous was actually arrested for a time, but is now managing the Medina branch of Bin Laden Enterprises.

Mahrous Bin Laden was also implicated in the 1979 seizure of the Grand Mosque.

And of course there is the little brother Osama. Three of his sons, Abdullah, Omar, Saad and Mohammed spent time in Afghanistan at terrorist training camps with him, but are all living and working in Saudi Arabia.

George W. Bush got the money to set up Arbusto Energy from Salem Bin Laden.

George HW Bush was close personal friends with Salem Bin Laden, the patriarch, and Bakr Bin Laden, his son and Chairman of the Saudi Binladen Group.

Samuel P. Bush, George W. Bush's great-grandfather, was a metals manufacturer for the railroads who became an arms dealer during WW1.

George Herbert Walker (Bush's other great-grandfather) was President of Harriman Bank which indirectly financed the Nazis after the invasion of Poland. After the invasion of Pearl Harbor, the bank's assets were seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act.

After the end of the war, Walker's son-in-law, Prescott Bush (Bush's grandfather), a Republican senator, was compensated $1.5 million for his shares in Harriman's brokerage firm, Brown Brothers Harriman, where he was formerly an executive. With this money he launched Bush family interests in the Texas oil industry.

Upon graduation from Yale, George HW Bush was given a position with Dresser Industries, the oil division of Brown Brothers Harriman. With funding from Dresser, Bush started Zapata Oil in 1953.

Bush was also Chairman of the Republican National Committee during Watergate.

The Bush's and related Washington politicians and administration figures supported Osama Bin Laden for several years when he was major figure in the anti-Russian Afghani fighting. That relationship cooled off fast though once the Russians left.

The Bush's have been good friends of the house of Saud for a very long time. The Bin Ladens are closely related to the Saudis and their interests, and as such have benefited from this relationship. Officially, Osama is barred from the country and considered an outcast, but it's highly unlikely that Saudi Arabia supports or would support the capture of Osama by American forces.

You do realize, if you use this logic, we are all related,
because of Adam and Eve. So we too are related to
Bin Laden.
