NaOH(s) + H2O(l)-------> NaOH(aq), this is how i think it should look not sure, basically I have to do a BALANCED chemical equation of sodium hydroxide being added to water and being turned into a solution. So if any of you can help I will be grateful.

You can't include H2O, but you can include "aq".

NaOH(s) + aq -----> Na+(aq) + OH-(aq).
