When I was asked, I said that one of the major benefits was having the freedom to be myself without someone holding me back. My friend disagreed and thought it was selfish of me to think that way. . .she is 3 years happily married. Is it wrong to think this way????

FREEDOM, No kids come and go as you want and noone questions you, never having to go home at a certin time, never having to go home if you don't want to. No dinner to cook if you don't want to.

Beside freedom and nothing to worry about every night, i think if you are single you can have more time for yourself. But i will still choose the risk of loving someone for it makes my life more colorful and more happy. Its different when you have an inspiration and someone to look forward to everytime you wake up each morning.

It's just a matter of being in control of your domain and not having someone to consider or worry about.
1. go out when you want and stay out as late as you want with
out checking or calling
2. eating, what, when, where and how much you want
3. money is all yours (OK & the governments)
4. being able to drop shoes, socks and other clothing where you want, to be picked up later, and not having to be told about it
5. not being forced into doing "chores"
6. *Being in control of the remote at all times*
7. *Being able to keep the toilet seat up and not hearing about it* (or down, depending)
The last two by themselves would convince me!!

you don't have to worry about being cheated on, or getting your heart broken. you can do whatever you want with whoever you like without nobody telling you it's right or wrong, u can enjoy your lifestyle and the way you are without the need of changing it because someone else doesn't like it.....u can follow your dreams and aspirations without barriers...boy it takes a LOT of sacrifices to be in a relationship!!!but in my case it's worth it!:D

Not dealing with things like jealousy, not having to ask or explain anything, being able to do what you want, see who you want, party when you want, eat & sleep whenever and however and with whomever you want.
