Heres my situation. Last Friday/Sat. ( a week ago) I got off my period. The day after (Sunday) me and my boyfriend had protected sex. 4 days later, I noticed a brown patch of blood mixed in with discharge. After that i noticed brown residue when i wiped. This went on untill Sat. night, (3 days.) Could this be left over period that made its way out, since it only came out in drops like 3 times? Or do you think it is spotting? (pregnant).
Iv been reading on this over the internet and i know i cannot believe everything i see. Iv been seeing that spotting usually happens after ovulation, or sometimes 6-12 days after intercourse. Input anyone?

Signed,
Worried.

It could be just residual from your period. i have had that happen to me quite a few times (espcially after sex after a period)

These are signs of implantation bleeding though. But if you just got off of your period i would doubt that is the issue.

These are things you should consider:
Was your period lighter/shorter then normal?
Do you always practice protected sex? (did you have unprotected sex last month)

If you did have a funky period and slipped up on the condoms, you may want to go to the dollar store and get a hpt just in case to double check. Some women do have periods while they are pregnant (not normal at all) so if that is the case you will need to be seen by a doctor. If it is negative, then wait until your next cycle starts.

If the discharge continues though throughout the next 2-3 days, you should make an appointment with your OB so they can see where this bleeding is coming from

Spotting is normal, but you might have an infection, too or an STD. Go to the doctor. A "brown" discharge is never a good thing.

You should take a test and if that is neg. You need to go to your doctor and aske him what the discharge is that you are having.

It's probably just left-over from your period. Anyway, take a pregnancy test if your period doesn't come on its due date
