im havin my mechanic replace the cam on a 4 cyl chevy engn, he says i should do a valve job on it also but hasnt given me a price yet .He's already got 1100 for pullin the engn, acid bath, replace cam, im wonderin what the ballpark$ amount should be to have the valve job done also. no boring.

You're crazy for doing all that stuff. You should have just put a rebuilt engine in. If the cam was worn, everything in the engine is probably worn out. That mechanic will keep taking your money forever, and you'll still have an old, worn out engine.

WAIT A MINUTE!!!

the Job he is doing include every possibilities. for the same price.

since he remove the head ,make no sense, not to machine shop it.He should had calculate that, He does not ?OOH WELL.it not Your fault

on the other hand. if He did not plan, for head machine job then. What is he doing bottom line.?

his losing money? sorry.
