No, this is highly dishonest. Many schools have provisions which state that you can only accept one school's offer. Purposefully accepting two admissions concurrently is grounds for revocation of your acceptance(s).
Suck it up, make a decision, and accept only one admission offer. If you have a legitimate reason for not making a decision (you are on a waiting list) call the schools that you are considering and ask them what they would like you to do while you wait. However, don't be a selfish fool by trying to beat the system and sending in double acceptances.

RIC is smaller and not quite as competitive academically, although it is perfectly respectable. It is in Providence, in a nice residential part of the city, easy bus ride to downtown. A lot of the students at RIC are local kids who commute to campus.Providence has campuses of eight colleges (Brown, PC, JWU, RISD, RIC, Bryant, RWU, URI) in a population of only 150,000 so there are MANY students there and lots of activities for young people. It is only 50 miles to Boston and 25 miles to Newport.
URI is much larger and has a much larger proportion of out of state students. It is in a rural area about 35 miles south of Providence... Life there is pretty typical of life at any mid-sized state university. In the spring and fall it is quite pretty and the campus is only about three or four miles from the beaches... (but this isn't Florida so don't plan on spending a lot of time in the water during the winter!!!)
You cannot accept both. Go to the campuses, check them out and decide. You would not be making a mistake in either direction. Both schools are respected, with competent well-qualified instructors and properly certified and managed programs.
Good Luck.

The problem with accepting both offers is that by doing so...you are making some other kids life harder.
A school only:
- accepts "X" many students
- puts "Z" many students on a waiting list
- rejects "Y" many students
So by taking a potential slot you are cuasing someone else to be bumped into a waiting list. AND WE all know it sucks being on a waiting list.
Also if that person - who gets bumped on a waiting list - decides to then take his/her second choice offer - you just screwed with thier decision.
Thinking about it from another High School Kids perspectie might help you follow the system...cuase you could be hurting someone else in the process and not just playing with the School.
Good luck.

If you're talking about R.Island, why would anyone want to live there?
check which one ranks better for your chosen degree, or which one offers you more money (or check out the campus's, which one has more pretty girls?). RI isn't that big, just choose man.
Beyond that, I'd pick URI, but just because it sounds better, as long as it's not confused with Uri Geller...
