I would just buy a new basketball. The air might eventually leak again and you won't be playing with a properly inflated ball.

Honestly, you need to get a new basketball. If you plan on playing with the old one, a patch wont hold up.

ahhh yes i remember that, i have a basketball somewhere around here and i just wrapped the hole in duct tape then completely around the ball so it wouldnt come off, but it didnt bounce like it use to but oh wells i just shoot so its not that big of a deal.

You need a new ball, you could patch it up but then the ball won't bounce the same, it will be off balance and mess up your dribble, and your shot.
