The American farmer has a chance to really survive with corn prices up. The enveroment is healthier with the use of ethanol. The middle east is happier without the American dollar or so they say. It creates thousands of American jobs. Need I say more?Ethanol wins

Ethanol is more costly than gasoline per mile driven, and we cannot produce anywhere near enough Ethanol to replace more than a fraction of oil we use, not if we grew corn on every spare inch of land. Were it not for the government subsidy of 51 cents per gallon for Ethanol, there likely would not even be a viable market. That means everyone pays for Ethanol, whether they put any into their car or not.

The inconvenient truth about oil is that it actually is the most economically productive fuel, which is why we have been using it lo these many years.

I'm not anti-ethanol. Just answering your question.
