One should not generalize, however I do believe that the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the so-called black leadership have done an enormous disservice to blacks.
The constant reinforcment of the 'victim mentality' has crippled blacks in their quest to be an economic and political force in this country.
It is hard to empathize with people who continue to whine about what they don't have, while refusing to take advantage of all they DO have.
The utter breakdown of the black family unit, rampant drug abuse, crime and poverty are all aiding in the economic woes of the black community, but surely it is time for blacks to acknowlege that much of these wounds are self-inflicted.

One thing you must say in Obamas favor - he does seem to be offering a more honest, positive message to blacks (which is why I guarantee Rev Al and Jesse will come out against him and in favor of Hillary...who will pander to blacks with the same old 'its not your fault, you're all victims' BS)

it's white people fault..basically even though they can get an education and a good paying job. they have every chance to go to college as everyone else. actually a better chance if a white kid and a black kid score the same on their sat's and act's..9 times out of 10 the college will chose the black person. but it's still white peoples fault somehow
