lavengro59, you certainly have some built up animosity don't you? It would be better spent elsewhere rather than here. Since you asked - NO, I am not a "sheep". I am constantly reading books and have recently gone through more biographies than I can even remember. I was simply asking for suggestions. You should not waste your time on an answer if you have nothing helpful to say. Get a life!!

Pappillon (pronounced "pap-ee-yon") by Henri Charierre. It is the true story of Charriere, wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to a life of hard labor in the brutal French penal colony of French Guiana in the ealry 20th century.

It is unbelievable account of life in a devastingly harsh place and an amazing tale of the triumph of the human spirit.More importantly, it is an un-put-downable read and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

"John Marshall: definer Of A Nation" by Jean Edward Smith. Very good read if you have any interest in law. Marshall was an extremely interesting man - he's not called "The Great Chief Justice" for nothing.

Yes. Anyone could. Why don't you pick one yourself? Are you a sheep who simply does what the (metaphorical) sheperd hints at? What interests YOU should be the deciding factor.
