CONGRATS ON YOUR PREGNANCY!

you can start whenever you want. but i would hold off until about 5 month (so you know what kind of size baby you are going to be having) by your second trimester u/s there should be a indication if you are going to have a large or small baby.

Also if you are going to find out the sex, you can get some clothes for him or her that are gender specific. Not all green and yellow.

Also by then, you will be able to get clothing for the season your baby will be born in. its kind of hard to shop for winter stuff in the middle of May. lol

Nothing wrong with gettting basics now though. White onsies and things of that such! :) Good luck!

Whenever you want! I have to beautiful healthy boys and I started buying unisex clothes when I saw ones that I loved or ones that were at a good price almost immediatly after finding out that I was pregnant. Some people consider it "bad luck" to start shopping for the baby before your first trimester is over with. Whatever you do.. just don't buy too much.. newborns need less than you think.

Congrats...

Whenever you want to go shopping! I am 11 weeks pregnant and I am looking forward to shopping! I have already bought little stuff like bath things, but I am trying to wait until I find out the sex of the baby before clothes because everything seems so sex specific now days. I guess you can buy the onsies and socks and things like that. :) Good luck and congrats!!

Wait at least until you are 5-6 months pregnant. I still wouldn't buy a whole lot tho. Some babies grow faster than others and its possible that you would have a bunch of clothes for the wrong season or that don't fit. I know I have a ton of newborn clothes that my son never wore because he was born too big for them.

You can go whenever you want.

Are you going to find out the sex? If so, you will probably want to wait until then.

Also, don't forget about seasons. So if you are shopping now, figure out how old your baby will be 12 months from now so that the clothes is appropriate for the season.

You can start now but stick to non gender color, white, yellow, green, and neutrals. Don't go crazy though, because when you find out the sex, in just a couple of months, usually 4 or 5 months, your gonna want to buy for a girl or boy.

You can go buy a cute outfit or two, but DO NOT go overboard....I had my baby shower yesterday, and i have yet to buy a single baby item....and now I have the shortest list ever:
Formula
Diaper bag
baby monitor.

I got SOOOO much clothes- a good mix of 0-3 months and 3-6 months....so i'm not buying single outfit!! i got the stroller, car seat, bassinet, boppy, bath stuff, diapers, diaper genie, bottles, pacifiers....EVERYTHING.

Whenever you feel like it! Since you don't know the gender of the baby yet you can just do some window shopping or buy gender neutral outfits right now. Congratulations!!!

Ooh I'm wondering exactly the same thing lol! I'm almost 11 weeks. I would say anytime after 12 weeks (when they say the "danger period" is over) But it's your baby and upto you. You obviously don't know the sex yet, so buy neutrals if you decide to do it soon. Good luck hun x
