It depends on who manufactured your computer. If it's a dell, go to dell's website, etc. There, you go to downloads or support/downloads, a drop down list will appear, and select the corresponding model of your pc. (If you do not know the model or make of your pc, in XP go to Run and type in dxdiag. In a moment a list will appear. In this first window it will list your system manufacturer and the model number usually.) Hope that helps. If not, post your Make and Model and I'll look it up for you

There should be another cd that came with your computer, that contains the drivers you need for your computer. If not then go to the manufactures web site of your computer and download the sound drivers and any others you may be missing.

SOUND CARD DRIVER
From what you are describing I suspect you've lost your sound card driver.
Right click on my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, double click on Sound, video......., double click on Vinyl ......Driver..., Driver, Update Driver.
If this fails to correct the problem:
Go to the manufacturer website and download and install the driver for your model sound card.
or
Reinstall the driver from the CD that came with your sound card.

Good Luck
