It's a Toshiba M115-S3094, but I don't know anything at all about computers. Please help!

The processor in that is an Intel Core 2 Duo. That is an excellent processor. What are you doing that is is not adequate for? Maybe you just need more RAM. That is easy to add.

If you want to use if for gaming, the graphics would be the weak point, not the processor.

280 Mhz is extra ideal than 230 Mhz. Mhz is the unit to meassure the cicles finished with the help of the processors, so the better the extra ideal. 1Hz = one million cicle/2nd, one million Mhz = one million,000,000 cicles/2nd, one million Ghz = one million,000 Mhz. wish this helps.

The only way to increase your mhz on a laptop is to attempt to overclock it. On laptops though this isn't a smart idea. There already is enough heat inside a laptop without increasing it by trying to overclock it.

Time to buy a new laptop.

go up to your local computer store aka best buy comp usa frys or just a computer repair shop tell them the problem there might now be a soloution but its worth the try
