buy a regular pair of jeans and use sand paper and rub it back and forth and it makes nice distressing and rips I've done it before on a pair of true religion jeans. ;)

You can easily make your own.
I have done this many times and it looks great!
All you have to do is take a scissors but I suggest a tool that you use to rip seams[just go to Walmart or any fabric store and they'll know what it is].
Just take the scissors or seam ripper[I don't remember exactly what its called] to a place you want a hole, make the hole as big as you desire then scrape the outsides with sandpaper or a sharp knive and as you do that you'll probably have a lot of blue threads from the jeans pull the blue threads out or cut them off but leave the white ones there. Apply some bleach to the white threads to give the hole the aged/real look.
Also if you could get a hold of some battery acid that works wonders, it doesn't make open holes but many companys use that to make the types of holes you see on jeans in stores like American Eagle.
I'm sorry I'm not too good at explaining things....I do them better when they're in front of me... but I hope this helped even a little.

You can do the sandpaper thing and rub it on your jeans to look frayed.
You can also buy those ripped jeans at American Eagle for like $40 max. and they look really great. You should also check out other stores like Hollister.

Get a decent pair of jeans.
Get a pair of scissors and decide where you want cuts (only two cuts work best)
If you also want the grazed look get a cheese grater and put your jeans stretched out on an ironing board and well - grate your jeans!!

Scissors will not get the look that you want. Use a seam ripper and make a couple tiny holes where you want them and wash them. The more you wear the jeans, the better the holes will be. Also, the holes will be somewhat genuine.

We shop at Hollister and the jeans they are getting in have no holes. I'm glad because I never did like wearing jeans that look like you got them at a thrift store.

Get the scissors and use your imagination. After cutting in, shred the edges for a frayed look. Have fun!

Poke a tiny hole (about 1 fourth the size of a dime) and use sandpaper. Go up and down with the sandpaper. If you just cut the hole then whenever you wash them they will get bigger and bigger.
