It doesn't, but the gas gauge seems to say it does. It's a fault inherent in the way the gas gauge registers the level in the gas tank. Rather than a perfectly linear reading pattern, it gives a curved-graph reading, as though it is accelerating. Don't some newer or more expensive cars have accurate digital readouts, or haven't they invented that item yet?

It doesn't. Gas gauges just aren't very linear. Most of them say empty when they're still 20% full so you won't run out.

because not all the fuel burns up,some of it returns on the return
line into one of the fuel tank,that's the tank that has more fuel
