I've been going since January, i did go to another beautician, but on my first visit she actually waxed my skin off, so i started to go to my current one now, but hes been doing the same, last time i went i said tht i tend to have a red mark for a couple of days after, and she said 'okey we'll try to avoid that then' she didn't wax my skin off then, but i just went yesturday and shes done it again, just wanted to know if i could sue, as it is actually quite painfull while the skins healing underneath the scab.

First off do you really want to sue? Man what has this world become? Not to put you down. But suing for reasons like this is why my cousin who is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life and paralyzed could not sue for what she needed and deserved because people are sue happy!!

If this is happening to you frequently then it probably isn't her it's your skin. Some people's skin is very sensitive to the wax. Everything needs to be perfect. the type of wax the heat the amount of pressure they apply.

You need to find out what waxes have been used on you. Then you know they dont work. Ask also what setting the wax warmer is on low medium or high. Though it may not be too hot for other patrons this may not be the case for you.

When you are finding this out you should ask to speak to a manager. They will be more than happy to assist you in understanding why this happened to you. And what you can do in the future so that it doesn't occur again.

I am a stylist, I wax, I have had this happen to one of my clients twice. The conclusion was the wax was too hot for her, her skin was sensitive. So when she made an appointment I turned the wax down and we never have had the problem again.

I hope this helped

It can cause temporary irritation, & your skin may feel raw at first, but it goes away. It also depends on how often you do it & what part of the face you're waxing. Eyebrows aren't waxed that often and are not as sensitive as your upper lip for instance. If you're talking about waxing multiple times in a week then yes, your skin could possible become very raw/irritated.

Of course you CAN sue, people sue for ridiculous issues ALL the time. It's just not smart. I had to go to numerous places until I found the right waxer for me and my skin needs.
You may have t do the same.
Or try an at home kit if you just don't trust anyone else.

DONT GO BACK THERE!
If the 'scabbing' has happend b4 theres not an awful lot of grounds for sueing, as it would appear the reaction is common for u. Importantly, it happend b4 with another beautician.

However, she did get it right b4, and promised it would be ok & u were'nt, so I would complain to her & ask for ur money back.

Just out of curiousity have u tried doing it yourself using the cold wax strips? It does sound to me like the wax is too hot.

First, why do you keep having your lip waxed if it scabs. Second, are you using any acne medication? That's what scabs my eyebrows up... Third, NO WAY can you sue. That's rediculous. That's just a big waste of time for money. Money isn't going to make your scab heal better.

i,m not so sure about suing her but part of the problem is that the wax is too hot. or she is using the wrong wax there are several different kinds some for the course hair and some for fine hair and the more tender the place on your body, the wax should be different. however you can call your local cosmetology board and file a compliant

i know someone who had this happen to them, she went in and said something and they gave her a comlimentary massage as a "sorry" for the mishap. I wouldnt try and sue, really not worth the effort and accidents can happen, just stress how upset you are and suggest some sort of refund or treatment, they might be happy to do that as word of mouth is probably important to them and will want u to feel as though they have felt sorry for what has happened and tried to rectify the situation as best they can.

You can sue, but the judge will want SOME kind of 'proof'. Do you have pictures or a friend that went with you? 'Cause it will heal before you get to court.
